It is absolutely free to post a pen pal ad on our site, and absolutely free to receive all the replies that are automatically forwarded to your confidential email address, which you can freely reply to.
Will you give my email address to anyone?
No. With our Anti-SPAM Email System, no one sees your email address on our site (and we do not give your email address to any person or any organization or company. (We ourselves may contact you occasionally (as long as your pen pal ad is on our site), to inform you of new features, or to inform you that your pen pal ad is expired, etc.)
Exactly what is your "Anti-SPAM email system"?
A couple of years ago the pen pal ads on our site did show the email addresses. At that time we had a problem that grew bigger and bigger. Our site became a haven for 'Christian SPAMMERS'. Any and every kind of Christian ministry, Christian charity, mailing list, prayer list, etc. under the sun was using our site to grab thousands of Christian email addresses for their unsolicited mass emails (unsolicited mass email is commonly referred to on the internet as 'SPAM'). Of course we got complaints. We solved that problem by concealing the email addresses on our site and instituting a membership system: no one can reply to a pen pal ad unless they have a membership. This allows us to ban any SPAMMERS or abusive users, since if you receive any inappropriate or unsolicited message, you can forward it to us at abuse@ChristianPenPals.com. (Fortunately that happens very rarely). Incidentally, the membership system is also a means of funding for our site, since there is a small fee for membership (minimum is $2 (US), for one full month of unlimited usage).
How can I find my ad on your site?
To confirm that your pen pal ad is in our system, go to edit/remove and enter your email address (the same one you used in your ad).
If I do not have a membership but I have a pen pal ad posted on your site, will I be able to email back the people who respond to my pen pal ad?
Yes. When a member responds to your pen pal ad through our anti-SPAM email system, you will automatically and instantly receive an email containing their message, with their email address in the 'from' part of the email. All you have to do is simply 'reply' to that initial email, and you will be in direct email contact with that person. In other words, if you receive a response to your pen pal ad, all you have to do is use the 'reply' option on your email software, and you will be in direct email contact with that person.
