First i want to say that I am born again believer in Christ Jesus, He has and is constantly changing our lives all the time, and mine is one of them.
I love to visit and travel to places, meet new people and cultures, i am also into music and using this a tool in worship as a musician its an honour to serve God in this with what He has given.

hello everyone! i am simon, from england, in the uk. i am totally blind, caused by a condition called glaucoma which i always had since i became blind in 1991. i also have other additional disabilities such as being profoundly deaf though the cause of my deafness is unkown. i went deaf at the age of about 3 years old. well, i must have suffered a lot of hard times in my life,because of an unhappy family background. my parent married at a young age resulting in a violent split up soon after i became deaf (but had some hearing problem), moved to another town, lived there for many years when mum remarried again. school life was hard for me in those days because i was partially deaf and partially sighted but i spent a lot of time reading, self educated myself in literature which improves a lot of my english grammars and spelling plus able to speak good english today. went to college one day my sight suddenly went so i was in hospital for ten days over christmas 1989 a sad and lonely time for me. though i received some sight back after the operation, i lost it again in june 1991 at the time i was at henshaws college for the blind. i was there for say, 5 years, learning to live an independent life as a blind individual like mobility lessons, (it is now disasterous to go onto streets on my own!! i feared for my safety and life), cooking own meals, tidying room, washing clothes, cleaning polishing hoovering, washing ups and doing shopping usually with someone mainly to guide me, and things like that. moved about several times. then left the henshaws community in 2000. i am still finding it hard to cope each day knowing the existence of my ever present physical disabilities and facing days of being and feeling lonely sometimes i am often in need of some good friends. since i became a christian at the age of 20, at a young people's searchlight houseparty, a summer holiday for young visually impaired christians, i have a strong faith in jesus who became my lord and saviour who is my intimate friend and brother. i am physically broken but i am spiritually strong. my faith has grown up like a seed sown in my heart which became a shoot and gradually grew into a beautiful flower or tree whatever plants you call it, and god has watered my faith gave it light and warmth so is my life gives out warmth and compassion and love, i display my sweet smile, which i am afraid make the heart of some people melt!! but of course there's always those struggles and temptations which i faced each and every day. i now am living alone at home, a secure place of my own. i employ three people to give support as personal assistants (pa). they are doing the hours (30 hours) weekly7 flexible time prior to my demands unless one is unable to make that time i am able to re-schedule them another time or day. as a blind person, i was perhaps strictly taught in a college for the blind how to live an independent life at home, doing things you normally do in a home, like domestic chores, and cookery, shopping, make meals, tidy rooms, cleaning etc etc this is how i am trained to do. but now i have some health issues now which made doing some domestic chores hard. now, about me using computer. i am also trained technically to use this computer which has a braille display (44 cells) along the screen reader. i use this to communicate by reading everything that is informative, like e-mails or the texts on the bbc news (i read the news every day) and know what is currently happening, (a lot of depressing disasters going on such as an earthquake). god is so good to me and i am always thankful to him for such a wonderful gift like my computer!!! this is how i find this website so i joined up here to find christian friends, penpals from all over the world. here, i wish to compliment s and god's blessings for those of you who worked so hard in bringing christian brothers and sisters together to make friends and an everlasting and eternal friendship and fellowship together!! praise and glory to the lord! thank you! i am looking for male and female christians who are genuine in the faith any ages, from any countries in the world, but please send me an e-mail if you wish to contact me. my interests are: reading, (history, (in general), biographies, missionaries (wow, what an inspirational testimonies!), bible reading, devotionals, children's stories, and i read the christian magazines, and my hobbies are: walking in garden parks, love natural history and animals but have no pets of my own, socialising, eating out, tenpin bowling (with my pa's) church fellowship on sundays, and travel, stay at home or out in fine weathers, shopping, cooking meals, and i think not much else to do to keep me busy other than coming on this computer. i have travelled in the past to these following countries: spain, italy, the netherlands, belgium, germany, tunisia, cyprus, israel, france and portugal. i would like to try going to other countries some days. my english is good but never seems to be any better perhaps because i failed to grasp the meaning of some words!! oh, i must write a bit of an update on my church life. i am currently going on a course for members only that is, i am wishing to become my church member in september this year. i felt god is calling me to be a member which in the quarterly business meeting runs 4 times a year. this is my latest piece of news and i would value your prayers for me and the church leaders team. thank you!
