Hi! My name is Irina. I live in Donetsk, a city in the Eastern part of Ukraine. I would like to find Christian pen pals for building friendships and improving my English (it is much more interesting to learn having real communication with native speakers rather then just through books and CDs). My mother tongue is Russian and my English is not perfect yet, but I will try my best in correspondence. :-)
A few words about my background. I graduated from Donetsk University with a degree in international economics and have been working in my specialty as of late. I must say that I have found my work as an analyst and economist somewhat boring and in the future I would like to have a more creative line of work. I think that by nature my personality is more creative than analytical. Well, maybe it will be taking pictures professionally, maybe painting ... I haven’t decided yet. :-)
As of my interests, I love traveling, flowers, nature, sight seeing, shopping, fashion and style, internet, wonderful food, going out with family and friends for a meal, writing snail mail (sending cards and letters buying beautiful envelopes and stamps for post), watching movies (melodrama, drama, comedies), art, taking pictures, reading Russian classic literature and I am also interested in some history.
Traveling to different places sparks my interest in history. I very much enjoy visiting new places and learning and seeing new things. I have just returned from a trip with my husband and friends from Western Ukraine where we enjoyed the beautiful Carpathians, old styled cities (which are so different from the Eastern industrial part of Ukraine where I live) and ancient castles. Seeing all this beauty of old times, makes you ask who founded this, what is the story behind all this.
I also like cooking especially when I have enough time and the mood for something tasty. :-) I love Ukrainian cuisine. Red borscht (a substation soup made with vegetables and meat) is my favorite. I am also a big tea lover.
I love cats although right now I have no pets at home (but I hope to have a cat one day).

Since I like nature one of my hobbies is sightseeing and taking pictures of nature itself. Besides I like animals and good music and am interested in scientific literature. I like to study foreign languages. So it makes it possible to know many interesting things about the world and other countries and their customs. I also like painting arts and visiting picture galleries.
I believe it's good when a family is built upon christian values as it contains simple relationship filled with sense of humour and mutual understanding.
